We didn’t expect the waiting season to feel this long. When we started our day trading journey, we assumed consistency would come quickly — especially with so many videos, strategies, and success stories out there. We thought that if we showed up, studied hard, and applied solid risk management, we’d see results fast. But no one warned us about the silence. The in-between. The space between knowing how to trade and actually becoming a consistent trader. The red weeks. The emotional days. The second-guessing. That’s where we are right now — in the waiting.

We’ve had mornings where we opened our trading platform with hope, prayed before our setups, and still ended the day in confusion. We’ve followed trading plans only to see them fall apart. We’ve journaled every entry and exit, only to end the week in the red. But somewhere inside this slow stretch, something sacred is happening. God is pruning us. He’s teaching us how to build discipline beyond desire. He’s stripping away impatience and helping us trust that slow progress is still progress. We’re learning how to trade not just with our eyes, but with our hearts anchored in something higher.

This journey isn’t just about futures trading. It’s about faith and finance — and how the two can shape us in ways no strategy alone ever could. As a married couple learning to trade while raising three boys, we’re realizing that every trade is not just a financial decision — it’s a spiritual one too. We've had to ask questions like: Can I trust God’s timing more than my own? Am I building this business on strategy, or surrender? Is it okay to grow slowly if I’m growing in the right direction?

Scripture reminds us over and over: “Wait on the Lord.” But waiting isn’t passive. Waiting is obedience. Waiting is learning to show up without seeing immediate results. Waiting is choosing to believe that something is working in us even when we don’t see it around us. In trading, some of the best breakouts happen after long consolidation. In life, it’s often the same. The growth doesn’t always happen in the spotlight — it happens in the hidden.
